What is Covered in a "Creating a 2024 Resume that Stands Out"  Educational Presentation?

There have been a lot of changes to the job application industry in the past five years. Revision Resume is currently offering a group educational program where participants will learn what to include (and what to omit) on their resume, common myths and misperceptions about the job application process, and what an Applicant Tracking System is (and why it matters for your resume).

During the presentation, Revision Resume will cover the following topics:

  • Finding a job opening that is a good match for you

  • Good, bad and ugly things we typically see in resumes people create for themselves

  • What an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is

  • Why job seekers should be aware of the ATS

  • How to update your resume to account for the ATS

  • Example of an updated and optimized resume

  • Necessity of a cover letter and what to highlight

  • Interview Tips

  • Importance of a Value Proposition Letter

  • Links to additional helpful resources

"Thank you and Carrie for a wonderful presentation filled with a wealth of information. It was so helpful to learn about the ATS and to not 'pretty up' a resume with a lot of graphics."
